While there was some truth to lead guitarist Therlin V. James leaving the group at the end of 2010, it has been mainly to pursue other solo projects while Swami G. & G.I. Jones took a much needed break from becoming The Mixed Signals, and having recorded two playlists (one released digitally, the other “still in the can…”) in the aftermath of a fallen Brother Earth. “It was really all non-stop for so long that we just needed to take a mental, physical, & spiritual break.” The boys did get out some in 2011 with Rene Ferrer filling in for T.V.J. on the strings of steel.

The Mixed Signals have been fiddling around with classic bits as a way to shake the dust and rust away. Sitting in on the tubs, Joe B. is giving Swami a chance to romance his electric acoustic…Jones…hasn’t sound better. Therlin’s in the mix again, and shows are soon to follow. Ben Elliot of Showplace Studios sent over the first three mixes off the unreleased material and it sounds blazing!
